According to the Global Times, citing Guyan media reports, members of the Caribbean Community discussed the issue in an emergency online meeting a few days ago. Guyana President Ali said the U.S. move will have an impact on the cost of goods and transportation costs entering the region, and regional countries will raise the issue during the visit of U.S. Secretary of State Rubio.
Rubio will start his official visit to the Caribbean this week, with its itinerary including Guyana, Jamaica and Suriname.
